Family Bakery & Restaurant was co-created by NK SEEDS, an educational and environmental NGO in Nong Khiaw.

NK SEEDS was founded in 2018 by a young French traveler, Mélissa. Its offers free English classes to more than 200 local students every year and raises awareness in environmental issues. One of our projects collects plastic and turns it into usable objects. This provides funds both for our school and for the local communities.

​

We welcome international volunteers to stay and work with us in Nong Khiaw throughout the year. Also, we run solidarity tours (NK SEEDS Tours), three times a year. Participants are promised to discover the authentic beauty of the Northern Laos and help local communities.

 

All profits from these two projects are directly reinvested into the NGO.
