Welcome to the Family Bakery & Restaurant family! This restaurant was created in collaboration between NK SEEDS and Pinkeo’s family, who became Melissa’s family of heart. In 2018, when Melissa arrived in Nong Khiaw, she was alone, knowing no one and not speaking the local language. Touched by her dedication to her people, Pinkeo decided to support her by welcoming her into her home, surrounded by her sisters and daughters. At that time, Pinkeo owned a restaurant called Family Bakery in Nong Khiaw. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the difficult economic situation, Pinkeo’s family had to close the establishment. In 2022, Melissa returned to Laos with the aim of relaunching and expanding NK SEEDS’ activities. Settling in Luang Prabang, Pinkeo’s hometown, Melissa seized the opportunity to create a restaurant in partnership with her host family. And so in October 2022, Family Bakery & Restaurant opened its doors!
