Care where care doesn’t reach

Since 2025, NK Seeds has been running free medical missions in the rural and remote areas of Laos: two weeks of consultations given by volunteer health professionals, French and Lao.

On site

Two weeks of free care

Each mission sets up in a local hospital, working with the Ministry of Health and the partner hospitals. People from isolated villages come for free consultations.

Consultations

General medicine, gynecology, nursing care, physiotherapy or chiropractic care, depending on the mission.

Teeth and eyes

Dental care, eye exams and glasses provided.

Free transport

Boats and tuk-tuks paid for, so that distance is never a barrier to care.

Prevention

Health education, particularly in schools, and skills shared with Lao health workers.

After the mission

What happens next?

Some patients cannot be treated on site for lack of equipment. NK Seeds then organizes their transfer to the hospitals in Vientiane or Luang Prabang, and covers the medical costs, transport, accommodation and support.

Examples of care: cleft lip operations, treatment for spina bifida, removal of goiters, correction of prolapses.
