The place
My Led Phan Library is in Nong Khiaw, about 4 hours north of Luang Prabang.
Ma Led Phan Library is an educational, cultural and welcoming space, created so that the children and young people of Nong Khiaw can learn, practice English and open up to the world.
Every weekday, from 4pm to 6pm, we offer:
- English classes suited to different ages and levels
- Conversation and English practice with our international volunteers
- Reading clubs, educational games, debates and creative activities
- A space where young people can read, learn, talk and meet new people
Through Ma Led Phan Library, we want to create an environment where young people can improve their English and build their confidence and curiosity, while learning in a playful, interactive way.

Volunteer opportunity
We need volunteers to teach English alongside our local teachers! We are looking for open-minded, reliable people who want to help and who enjoy sharing knowledge and stories. We would love to learn about your culture and to share the richness of Lao culture with you. Volunteer places are open to anyone who wants to give their trip a purpose and can give at least 2 weeks to our association. Volunteers teach 5 days a week, with about 2 hours of class a day. During their stay they assist our local English teachers.

Accommodation and meals:

The minimum stay is two weeks.

Accommodation and meals are not covered by the association. Volunteers are free to choose and book their own accommodation and to arrange their own meals.

Maximum: 4+ weeks (to be discussed)
